So up above me is my Steady Rhythm, obviously with eight x eight dimensions. So as you probably are noticing, I had horizontal lines in this, oh golly. I ended up getting the okay from Ms Silverman and really, it wouldn't flow right without it. I still kept both the vertical and horizontal lines equivalent to the others. I started with this pattern where I put diagonal lines right next other, with a thicker one in the center. I ended up looking back at a previous rough sketch and really liked this wooden plank esque pattern so I ended up doing that, tweaking the thickness of the lines and put those minuscule lines in the big empty areas.
Dynamic Line Rhythm
Now on the other side of the spectrum, here is my Dynamic Rhythm. Throughout the design process I ended up experimenting with this earthworm looking design. Just by having parts looking ending behind others it mildly gives off the illusion of space. I also ended up creating those black blotches with the pen tool but they were quite charming so I kept them in.
